As wireless earbuds continue to prevail in the market, major companies are now jumping on the bandwagon with their own versions of wireless headphones. Recently, we saw that Oppo came with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) with its Enco X wireless earbuds. Now, Acer has joined the party with the launch of three new wireless earbuds.
One of them is under the new “Gateway” brand, and the other two fall under its Acer branding. These, according to Acer, are “Designed for long-term use” And users come with a bunch of convenient features to enjoy the wireless-listening experience, both at home and on-the-go.
Acer True Wireless Earbuds
Gateway True Wireless Earbuds (GAHR012)
Now, first coming in a premium pair of earbuds, the Gateway True Wireless earbuds come in a cool vinyl design, in a clean white color scheme. It also comes with a fast coupling that enables earbuds to connect instantly to any device as soon as they come out of their charging case.
In the charging case, what is called is the current battery display which makes it easy to check the battery level of the case as well as the earbuds. In addition, earbuds come with touch and tap support to control media and invite voice assistants such as Google Assistant or Siri.
Gateway True Wireless earbuds come with a USB-C port with support for fast charging. This means that according to the company’s claims, earbuds can fully juice in just 1.5 hours and offer up to 24 hours of standby time. The earbuds are also IPX4 water-resistant.
Acer True Wireless Audio Earbuds (GAHR010 and GAHR011)
Acer True Wireless Audio earbuds come in two variants. These two come in a striking black color scheme and look similar to each other. Unlike previous Gateway earbuds that come in a stick form factor, these earbuds come in-the-year style.
Coming to the cases, both pairs come in a transparent-looking charging case with translucent top-cover. This translucent cover makes more sense in the GAHR010 model because it comes with an LED display on the inside that shows the battery percentage and earbuds of the charging case. On the other hand, the GAHR011 model comes with an array of LED lights on the charging case to indicate battery levels.
Now, coming to the port, the GAHR011 model comes with a USB-C port for charging the buds and case. While the GAHR011 model has a two-way charging solution and is equipped with both USB-C and USB-A ports.
Both models have fast charging support and are fully charged with standby time of 24 hours in 1.5 hours. And both models have touch controls for calling voice assistant in the buds and controlling media functions.
Price and availability
Coming to the prices of these new Acer Wireless earbuds, the company says they are priced to be affordable for most users. As a result, Gateway True Wireless earbuds come with a price tag of Rs. 4,499 (~ $ 61.43). On the other hand, Acer True Wireless Audio earbuds come with a cheaper price of Rs. 2,999 (~ $ 40.95).
