Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro with ANC, 28-Hours of Battery Life Launched at $199

Along with the Galaxy S21 series, Samsung also Launched The long-rumored Galaxy Buds Pro. It is the company’s new pair of TWS earbuds, the successor to the Galaxy Buds Live that was launched early last year. The Galaxy Buds Pro supports an in-ear design, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), up to 28 hours of battery life and more.

Starting with the design, the Galaxy Buds Pro looks like they’re one Amalgamation of Buds Plus and Buds Live. The company is digging out Buds Live’s half-in-year design and reverting to the in-ear design, which provides a better fit and better passive noise isolation. The earbuds look shiny and outward please come inside Square charging case – Similar to Buds Live. The design of earbuds is closer to Buds Plus though.

Samsung claims that the Galaxy Buds Pro offers the best audio experience compared to all the TWS earbuds launched so far. Earbuds include a dual-driver setup, “Sporting an 11mm woofer for deep bass and a 6.5mm tweeter for a crisp treble with minimal distortion.” According to the blog post.

Like Buds Live and AirPods Pro, these earbuds also support ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). Samsung claims that you can “Reduce background noise by 99 percent” With Galaxy Buds Pro. The company has Improved its ambient noise feature, Which gives voice to earbuds from the outside world. “You can choose to increase the nearby voice by more than 20 decibels,” The blog post states. In addition, you can choose to enable the Ambient Noise feature automatically. While you are speaking, the earbuds will be able to recognize and turn off the music and amplify the sounds.

According to the blog post, the Galaxy Buds Pro has three microphones and a voice pick unit (VPU) for active noise cancellation. The latter ensures that you are heard clearly during a call and the wind shield technology, along with the new shape, filters out any unwanted air interference.

The Galaxy Buds Pro also supports a new auto switch feature, which will allow you to switch seamlessly between Samsung devices without any interruptions. All you need to do is pair the earbuds with your phone and tablet. Earbuds also carry IPX7 ratings.

For battery life, Samsung says earbuds can last Up to 8 hours of playback (Without ANC) and up to 5 hours on one charge (with ANC). It can be increased Total 28 hours with charging case. The earbuds have a smaller 61mAh battery while the charging case has a 472mAh battery.

Price and availability

Samsung has priced the Galaxy Buds Pro in the US at $ 199 (~ 7,250), which is $ 30 more than the previous-gen Galaxy Buds Live. It comes in three color variants, namely Phantom Black, Phantom Silver and Phantom Violet. It will be available for purchase in select markets from 15 January.
