Samsung, after much publicity, unveiled “Project Neon” at CES last year. This year, the company went a step further and brought its Artificial Human, known as NEONs, into the real world as three commercial products.
Now, if you are unaware of Project Neon, this is something Samsung has developed to bring AI-based human-like assistants to help humans in the real world. This is similar to Tony Stark’s trusted computer system, JARVIS, which interacts with one person like no other, and not as a digital assistant. So, NEONs are basically Human-like avatars powered by complex machine learning and AI algorithms.
Therefore, Samsung developed this system and is now aiming to sell three new products based on the said platform. Those names are Neon View, Neon Frame and Neon Studio. These will be part of the company’s neon workforce and neon content creation services.
The neon view
Now, Neon View is essentially an app designed for smartphones and other portable devices. It will be like a smarter digital assistant with whom you can chat anytime and anywhere over a text or video call to have a face-to-face conversation. Neon will interact with you in real time and answer your questions in a dynamic and more intelligent way, like Microsoft’s XiaoC chatboat for Samsung’s Core R3 aka “Reality”. real time. Responsive ”technology.
Neon frame
Coming in a neon frame, it is a real, physical device that comes in the form of a massive 4K display based on the neon platform. Samsung describes it “Life-size irrational portal that brings NEON to the real world” As such it is designed to help users interact with a neon avatar so that they are in the real world.
Furthermore, in addition to the stunning Samsung-grade display, the Neon Frame also packs many other technologies such as high-fidelity audio, security and encryption, and various other sensors for contactless payment and biometric scanning. Therefore, expect to be approached at future banks and airports, as a contactless customer service kiosk rather than an actual human.
Neon studio
Now, the third product, Neon Studio, is like digital software designed for businesses and content creators to create content without any outside help. A user can feed any type of script to create an artificial human, in this case, a neon, describing them with the right emotions, expressions, and timing.
In addition, users will be able to apply “mood” or “behavior” based on their script, finely tuned information such as speaking style, speed and tone of voice, and can publish or broadcast them live on a stage.
So, these were the three new products based on Project Neon that Samsung recently unveiled. According to Samsung, this is only the beginning of artificial humans and it will soon bring more such services based on neon to the market, putting the customer service sector in a risky position.
